In NSW, the Department of Fair Trading requires shade structure installers to be licensed. Abacus Shade Structures holds current
Contractor Licence 55227C & Supervisor Licence 13626S.
Our licence verifies qualifications and experience. Obligations exist for contractors on licences, contracts, workmanship, materials and warranties when dealing with the public. Licences provides peace of mind and legal protection.
Workplace Health & Safety
The NSW State Government Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations apply on all building sites to protect workers and the public by ensuring minimum levels of safety compliance are maintained.
Excavation and working at heights are high risk construction operations which require compliance and risk assessment procedures.
Networks
As members of the national body, The Specialised Textiles Association of Australia we follow a professional code of conduct, Accredition ensures we work within legal parameters, are licenced and work to approved standards.
The company is further registered with pre-qualification companies associated with Building Contractors and Government Procurement.
Installation Team
On site our team is trained in steel welding, rigging, labouring, machine operation, truck driving, engineering, design, painting, project co-ordinating, and management. Skills are updated to meet demands of today’s work sites and achieve high standards.
Installation involves working with heavy materials, accessing sites, excavation, concreting and the use of large scale machinery and providing a repair and modification service.
